A message from our President
I am so glad that your family is considering joining the CCA family! As you explore who we are and what we do for our students and families, I hope that you’re able to envision how an education at this school would impact your child’s life.
Your child’s education is one of the most important investments you’ll ever make as a parent. When you think about how much time children spend a week at school being influenced by their peers, teachers, and curriculum, knowing that they’re being influenced for the better and encouraged to be more like Jesus is invaluable.
At CCA, we are on a mission to train students to be like Jesus. Some may think that’s too high of a goal, but Jesus actually expected us to become like Him. In Luke 6:40, He says, “A student is not above his teacher, but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.”
None of us have arrived yet, including our faculty and staff, but we know what we are aiming for. So if you and your family would like to join us on this journey of being transformed into His image through the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18), I encourage you to tour CCA Hollywood and pray about applying to CCA.

Dr. Rachels has faithfully dedicated decades of service to CCA since its opening in 2000.
He started as an Assistant Principal. God then raised him up to serve as Elementary Principal, High School Principal, and Head of School.
In his current role as President, he has been busy dreaming and praying about the future of CCA, supporting its campuses and equipping leaders — both staff and students — to change the world for Jesus Christ.
Dr. Rachels obtained his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. His three children have either graduated from CCA or are currently attending.
Our Staff
The teacher is at the heart of Calvary Christian Academy Hollywood's pursuit of excellence.
In addition to educational certification, we make sure that our teachers are spiritually mature believers, called and equipped by God with hearts for shepherding and instructing our most precious gifts: our children. This is especially important because the character of our teachers will be mirrored in their students.
For this reason, CCAH doesn’t compromise on a stringent faculty selection process — our goal is to build a faculty that reflects the character of Christ.
- More than 65% of our faculty have been on a missions trip.
- Nearly 60% attended a Christian primary school, college, or university as a student.
- 100% of our teachers have a bachelor's degree.
- 60% of our educators have been teaching for 10+ years.
CCA Hollywood Staff
Because CCAH is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, we benefit from the support of the church's pastoral leadership, administrative staff, and integration with other ministries in our endeavor to make disciples and prepare our students spiritually, academically, and socially.
