Discipleship

Offered at all of our campuses, weekly chapel services are a significant part of a CCAH student’s spiritual growth. 

Students gather for worship, studying the Word, and applying biblical truths to their lives on a level that relates to them. Messages are taught by school staff, church pastors, and various other ministry leaders. Testimonies, dramas, student-led worship, and intercessory prayer are typical components of chapel services.

Discipleship is a result of intentional relationships and accountability — focused on spiritual growth. CCAH’s small groups are developed with this in mind. 

In Upper School, small groups are peer driven under adult leadership. In these settings, students study the Bible, pray, and care for one another, and discuss the issues and challenges of life together. As a result of these connections, students experience the joy of teamwork through various outreach opportunities by serving South Florida and the nations.

Upper School students at CCA Hollywood have an opportunity to take part in annual spiritual retreats. 

During these events, students participate in personal and team-building activities, which foster spiritual growth and understanding, and promote class unity. All Middle School students take part in a one-day retreat at a local park in the fall, while the 9th and 10th grade students go off the property for three full days in the spring.

Outreach opportunities are designed to help students learn the gift of service and empower them to put their faith into action. Students take part in these opportunities through school clubs and after-school outreach events. 

It’s always exciting to see the blessing they experience when they get out of their comfort zone and help someone in Jesus' name! Examples of particular outreach activities might include visiting convalescent homes, evangelism trips, serving the poor, drives for local/international ministries, etc.

Annual international missions trips for 8th grade (Bahamas) and 11th grade (Mexico) students provide an opportunity to reach the world for Christ. 

Missions trips support biblical principles taught in the classroom, chapels, and small groups. Students experience environments that teach, stretch, and challenge them to love and serve those in need.
